In Chainsaw Man, Reze makes a very distinctive entrance.

She first appears in the rain. She approaches Denji, starts a conversation with him, and gives him a natural smile. Compared with characters who arrive with an immediate sense of pressure, Reze feels more like an ordinary girl who unexpectedly enters Denji’s life.

She works at a café, jokes with Denji, and later secretly takes him into a school at night. During that part of the story, they walk into a classroom together and then visit the school swimming pool.

It is a student life that Denji has never experienced, as well as one of the few truly relaxed moments in the entire story.

When I first watched this part, I also thought Reze was simply using this closeness to gain Denji’s trust. By approaching him and allowing him to experience a life he had never known, perhaps she only wanted him to gradually lower his guard.

It was only later, when I learned that Reze had never really attended school either, that I began to understand that scene differently.

The School Was Just as Unfamiliar to Reze

Reze was not taking Denji back to a school life that she already knew.

The classroom, the swimming pool, and the youth that students should normally experience were just as unfamiliar to her.

She appears more confident than Denji and seems to understand how to interact with other people, but that does not mean she ever had an ordinary life of her own.

Inside the school that night, Reze was not only allowing Denji to experience a student life he had never known. She was also using that moment to briefly approach a life that had never truly belonged to her.

The two of them entering the classroom and swimming pool together looks relaxed and happy, but that kind of life could not continue forever.

Once I understood this, I began to feel differently about Reze.

I no longer saw her only as someone who approached Denji because of a mission. On the surface, she is confident and cheerful. She can talk naturally, smile, and move closer to another person. Behind all of that, however, she carries her own loneliness.

She knows what an ordinary life looks like, but she has never truly had one.

I Understand Reze’s Loneliness

I am not someone who talks very much.

Apart from my work, my main interests are watching anime and playing games. I do not particularly enjoy busy social situations, and I am not used to openly expressing my emotions to other people.

Even when I have a lot on my mind, I usually choose to process it quietly on my own.

For me, anime and games are more than everyday entertainment. They have accompanied me for a long time, and they have allowed me to recognise emotions in fictional characters that are not always easy to express in real life.

Reze and I have, of course, lived completely different lives. Even so, I understand the feeling of keeping many thoughts inside without knowing how to put them into words.

Sometimes, a person does not reject companionship. They have simply become accustomed to being alone.

Reze appears comfortable around other people and actively approaches Denji, but I have always felt that she is not as relaxed as she seems.

She possesses great power, yet she has never truly had the opportunity to decide how she wants to live. She knows what she wants, but she is never given enough time to have it.

That loneliness made me sympathise with Reze, and it is also why I have never forgotten her.

Many Fans Came to Love Reze Too

As the story continued, many fans gradually developed feelings for Reze just as I did.

People do not like her only because of her appearance or her powerful combat abilities.

Some remember the moment she first appeared in the rain. Others love the scenes in which she and Denji enter the school and swimming pool. Some still cannot forget the choice she later made.

Reze does not appear for an especially long time in Chainsaw Man, but she leaves a deep impression on many fans.

Many people repeatedly revisit her scenes and search online for pictures, character information, and other material related to her.

Sometimes, we develop strong feelings for a character but do not know how to express them. All we can do is imagine, revisit the story, or continue searching for content about that character so those feelings can remain with us.

I also love anime and games, so I understand these thoughts very well.

However, I was busy with other work at the time, so the idea was delayed and we did not begin immediately.

At the beginning of this year, our team began receiving regular submissions from fans. Many fans told us that they hoped we would create a Chainsaw Man figure series, and some specifically recommended Reze.

These submissions reminded me of the plan that we had previously put aside.

I realised that many people, like me, had never forgotten these characters and wanted another way to keep them in their lives.

Our team therefore began discussing the Chainsaw Man series again. We collected character references, created design drawings, and confirmed our production plans.

We have now finalised the designs for Reze, Power, and Makima, and we have contacted the factory to begin production.

According to the current production schedule, Reze and Power are expected to be completed in early July 2026, while Makima is expected to be completed in early August 2026.

Why We Chose the Hentai Figure Direction

When deciding how to create Reze, we chose to develop her as an adult-oriented Hentai figure.

Many fans do not simply want to own an ordinary piece of Reze merchandise.

They have deeper feelings for the character but may not know how to release or express them. Some repeatedly revisit her scenes, some search online for information about her, and others imagine what it would be like if Reze could truly enter the real world.

I also like Reze, so I understand these feelings.

We therefore decided to use an adult collectible format to present Reze in a more realistic form.

Of course, this does not mean that we only focused on her body.

If the face does not resemble Reze, or if her original appearance is not preserved, even the most realistic body cannot truly represent the character.

We want collectors to recognise Reze first when they see the finished product, and then experience the body, texture, and poseable structure of this adult Reze figure.

From Collecting References to Sculpting the Face

After officially deciding to begin production, we first collected a large amount of reference material related to Reze.

We created design drawings based on her facial shape, features, hairstyle, clothing, and body characteristics in the original work. After completing the first designs, we continued making adjustments.

Once the drawings were confirmed, we gave them to our craftsman, who used the designs to sculpt Reze’s face.

The face is one of the most important parts of a character figure.

If the face differs too much from Reze’s original appearance, fans will struggle to recognise her even if the body has been made with great care.

We therefore used the collected references to check the shape of her face, eyes, nose, and mouth. Our goal was not to create an ordinary female model, but a Reze figure that fans could recognise.

Full Silicone, a Metal Skeleton, and Jelly Breast Craftsmanship

For the body, we chose full silicone. We selected this material because both its appearance and texture are closer to real human skin.

We want this Reze figure not only to reproduce the character’s appearance, but also to give her body a more natural look and a more realistic skin texture when touched. At the same time, the material gives the overall form a more delicate and balanced visual appearance.

We also placed a metal skeleton inside her body.

The internal skeleton allows collectors to move her body and adjust different actions and poses according to their preferences. She does not have to remain in one fixed pose. Collectors can change her body position and display Reze in different ways inside their rooms.

Whether she is standing naturally or her arms, legs, and body direction are being adjusted, the pose can be arranged according to personal preference.

The breasts are also an important part of this Reze figure.

To give them a more realistic appearance and texture, we used a special jelly breast technique.

The jelly breasts look very natural and feel extremely soft and realistic when touched, providing a sensation that is as close as possible to that of real female breasts.

We want collectors not only to see a more realistic body shape, but also to experience a more natural feeling through touch.

Hair is an important part of a character’s appearance. We therefore wanted the soft vinyl material to present the distinctive outline of Reze’s hairstyle more effectively and make the overall design look more natural and visually balanced.

The full-silicone body, internal metal skeleton, special jelly breasts, and soft vinyl hair together form the core craftsmanship of this Reze figure.

Through these designs, we want her to be more than an anime figure with a similar appearance. We want to create an adult Reze figure whose body, texture, poses, and character design are closer to what fans imagine.

The design of this Reze figure has now been finalised, and we have contacted the factory to begin production.

At the same time, the Reze figure is now available for pre-order.

According to our current schedule, we expect to complete Reze in early July 2026.
