Aerith no longer felt like the unfamiliar girl Cloud had met by chance in the Sector 5 church. During the journey, she often walked over to him and noticed every sudden headache, moment of confusion and vision that interrupted his thoughts.

Cloud always claimed that he had once served as a SOLDIER First Class. He also firmly believed that he had taken part in the Nibelheim mission five years earlier. However, some of the experiences he described had actually belonged to Zack.

Cloud did not deliberately deceive his companions.

Those misplaced memories felt completely real to him, while Sephiroth continued to use the fractures in his mind to influence his actions.

Aerith noticed the problem early, but she did not confront him directly. She understood that Cloud’s mind had become unstable. Suddenly denying the past he believed in would only push him further into confusion.

Cloud and Aerith Gradually Grew Closer During the Journey

Zack played a part in Aerith’s initial interest in Cloud.

The way Cloud held his sword, the deliberate coldness in his voice and his stories about SOLDIER reminded her of the man who had never returned to the Sector 5 church.

Even so, Aerith did not treat Cloud as a replacement for Zack.

As the journey continued, she began watching Cloud’s genuine reactions. He refused to admit that he cared about others, yet he always stepped in front of his companions when danger appeared. He often sounded impatient, but rarely refused Aerith when she truly asked for his help.

This was how Cloud and Aerith gradually became closer.

Aerith did not remain near Cloud simply because he reminded her of Zack. She wanted to understand the man hidden beneath the confused memories.

That emotional connection later shaped the expression I wanted my Aerith figure to carry.

During the Gold Saucer Date, Aerith Wanted to Meet the Real Cloud

During their Gold Saucer date, Aerith and Cloud entered the Ferris wheel together.

Lights passed continuously outside the window, while Cloud still struggled to respond to her feelings. Aerith stopped hiding behind jokes and told him that she wanted to meet the real Cloud.

Her words carried more meaning than an ordinary confession.

Aerith had already realised that Cloud’s habits as a fighter and the past he described did not entirely belong to him. She wanted to reach the person hidden beneath false memories, mako exposure and Sephiroth’s influence.

Cloud could not give her an answer.

He did not understand his own past and could not explain why Sephiroth kept appearing before him. Whenever those visions returned, his trust in himself and the people around him began to weaken.

Because of this, the relationship between Cloud Strife and Aerith always carried a sense of unease.

The more Aerith tried to reach the real Cloud, the more clearly she saw Sephiroth taking control of his mind. I later carried that mixture of warmth and concern into the facial design of the Aerith figure.

She had personally experienced the Nibelheim incident, yet she could not understand why Cloud remembered so many details. She wanted to ask him about the truth, but feared that directly questioning his memories might cause him to collapse completely.

Aerith understood her concern.

During the journey, Tifa and Aerith watched Cloud whenever he became unresponsive. They also exchanged glances when he was not paying attention.

Tifa usually kept her worries to herself, while Aerith preferred to approach Cloud directly. Their methods differed, but both women tried to prevent Sephiroth from taking complete control of him.

Neither woman treated the other as a romantic rival who had to lose.

The most important part of the Tifa Aerith relationship was their shared understanding that Cloud was losing control of himself. Neither woman wanted to abandon him during that struggle.

The Black Materia Caused Cloud to Lose Control Completely

After the group entered the Temple of the Ancients, Sephiroth’s plan gradually became clear.

He intended to use the Black Materia to cast Meteor. Once Meteor wounded the planet, the Lifestream would gather around the damaged area, allowing Sephiroth to absorb its power.

Cloud and his companions tried to obtain the Black Materia first.

However, Sephiroth entered Cloud’s mind again and controlled his actions. Cloud ignored the voices of his companions and eventually handed the Black Materia directly to Sephiroth.

Aerith tried to stop him.

Cloud, no longer in control of his body, chased after her and nearly hurt her under Sephiroth’s influence. The other members of the group intervened and stopped him.

Aerith did not blame Cloud.

She knew those actions did not reflect his real intentions. She also understood that he could no longer resist Sephiroth on his own.

Waiting for Cloud to recover was no longer possible.

Sephiroth already possessed the Black Materia, and Meteor could appear at any moment. Aerith had to use the White Materia and activate Holy as soon as possible.

Why Aerith Went to the Forgotten Capital Alone

Aerith was the last surviving Cetra.

She could hear the voice of the planet and knew how to use the White Materia during her prayer. No other member of the group could activate Holy in her place.

That was why she chose to leave alone.

She did not leave because she hated Cloud, nor because she distrusted the other companions. Aerith understood that Cloud could no longer protect her. Allowing him to follow might give Sephiroth another opportunity to control him.

Before leaving, she kept her fear away from Cloud.

Aerith still spoke to him gently and asked him to take care of himself. She then entered the Forgotten Capital alone, reached the central altar and began praying to the planet.

She had to activate Holy before Sephiroth reached her. Her decision to continue despite the danger became one of the strongest emotional references behind my Aerith figure.

Sephiroth suddenly descended from above and drove the Masamune towards her. Cloud saw him and immediately rushed onto the altar, using the Buster Sword to deflect the blade from the side.

In the scene Cloud saw, Aerith remained unharmed.

No blood appeared on the altar, and the Masamune moved away from her. Cloud believed he had arrived in time and saved her.

However, the scene before him immediately changed.

Blood appeared on the Masamune. Aerith stopped praying, lost the strength in her body and fell into Cloud’s arms.

Tifa, Barret, Yuffie and the other companions arrived moments later. They saw that Aerith no longer responded and understood that Sephiroth had killed her.

Aerith did not rejoin the group or return to ordinary life.

My Feelings for Aerith Grew Through Her Actions

My feelings for Aerith did not come from a single attractive character image.

She approached the quiet Cloud and carefully protected his feelings after recognising the problems in his memories.

After Cloud lost control at the Temple of the Ancients, Aerith did not place all the blame on him. She knew Sephiroth was controlling him and understood that Cloud would suffer once he became aware of his actions.

No accusation followed her departure.

Instead, she accepted the prayer that only she could complete and entered the Forgotten Capital despite knowing that Sephiroth would follow her.

This gentle girl gradually left a lasting place in my heart, and that feeling eventually became the reason I created an Aerith figure of my own.

Many cosplayers were beautiful. They recreated the pink dress, red jacket, long brown braid and pink ribbon with great care.

Some Aerith Gainsborough cosplay photos also included flower baskets, bracelets and church backgrounds. Both the costumes and the photography immediately brought Aerith to mind.

However, even after seeing many examples of cosplay Aerith, I never felt a strong desire to bring one of them home.

The problem was not a lack of beauty.

The Aerith I remembered was more than a pink dress. Her gentle but direct gaze towards Cloud, the natural lift at the corner of her mouth when she joked, and the calm expression she carried into the Forgotten Capital were difficult to recreate through clothing alone.

Adult Fan Creations Also Lacked the Aerith I Remembered

When neither existing cosplay nor adult fan creations could present the Aerith I wanted, I decided to create my own Aerith figure.

This Aerith Figure Was an Adult Collectible from the Beginning

When I began creating this Aerith figure, I had already chosen its direction.

I planned to make her a Hentai figure with realistic touch and adult functions, allowing adult collectors who loved Aerith as I did to keep her beside them in a more physical way.

I preserved the original facial structure of Aerith Gainsborough.

The completed facial design retained her gentle eye shape, naturally curved eyebrows, slightly raised lips and loose strands of hair beside her face.

I also preserved her green eyes, pink ribbon and long braid.

Her expression did not show quietness alone.

Aerith actively approached Cloud and used humour to reduce tension. When she had to make an important decision, she did not remain still and wait for someone else to act.

For that reason, this Aerith figure retained her gentle nature while also showing her original confidence and sense of closeness.

I used full silicone for the body and placed an articulated metal skeleton inside it. Her arms, legs and body angles could change for different scenes instead of remaining in a single pose like an ordinary Anime figure.

She could sit in the room or place both hands near her chest to recreate the prayer pose from the Forgotten Capital altar.

During photography, I could adjust her gaze, seated position and hand placement, allowing each image to show a different side of Aerith from the story.

The finished Aerith figure remained a recognisable character within our Final Fantasy figure collection, but offered a level of touch and articulation that an ordinary collectible model could not provide.

Her face still carried Aerith’s familiar expression. The pink dress and red jacket reminded me of her appearance during the journey, while the second red dress created a more mature impression.

The clothing changed, but her facial features remained the same.

After bringing her home, I also experienced the convenience of her smaller size. This mini sex doll did not occupy an entire bed or require a separate and highly visible area.

During ordinary days, she could sit on a chair or within a display area.

When I wanted to take photographs, I could move her by myself, change her clothing and arrange a background around the scene. After the shoot, I could return her to the original position.
