Tifa Figure Buying Guide: Why I Wanted to Create the Tifa in My Heart

I have been a very quiet person since I was a child, and I was never good at expressing my emotions.

There were many things I did not know how to say. When I was young, I spent more time with games and anime than with people. They did not ask me to explain myself too much, and they would not push me away just because I was not good with words. At that time, a game world sometimes felt easier to enter than the real world.

It was during that period of my life that I came across Final Fantasy VII.

At first, I was simply drawn into the world of the game. It was not just noisy or exciting in a simple way. That world carried complicated emotions, loss, attachment, and many feelings that could not be easily spoken out. Yet the most special part of it was a girl.

Her name was Tifa.

Her appearance felt like a beam of light entering my cold and quiet world. At that time, I was not good at expressing myself, and I was not used to speaking openly about what I liked. But I knew very clearly that this girl had touched me.

Tifa was never a character I remembered only because of her appearance. Of course, she was beautiful, and she had a very strong attraction. What truly made me love her for so many years was the warmth inside her. She was gentle, but not weak. Behind her quietness, there was never a lack of strength. Sometimes she kept many emotions inside, yet you could still feel that there was a lot hidden in her heart. Maybe because I also grew up as someone who did not express much, I could understand the emotion behind her silence more deeply.

Many years have passed. I have seen many characters and loved many works, but Tifa has never left my heart.

That is why I kept creating different versions of the Tifa Figure. I did not make her only because she is a popular character, and I never wanted to turn her into an ordinary product. What I really wanted was to let people who love Tifa like I do own a version of her that belongs to their own hearts.

Not a Tifa who only stays on the screen.

But a Tifa who can exist in real life, who can be seen, touched, and kept as a form of companionship.

Why I First Created a Life Size Tifa Figure

The first Tifa figure I created was the life size Tifa figure.

In my heart, if I truly wanted to bring Tifa from the game world into reality, the most direct way was to give her a proportion close to a real human being. A normal figure can be collected, displayed, and admired, but it still reminds you that Tifa remains inside a smaller model.

That was not the distance I wanted.

I wanted a Tifa who felt closer to real existence. When she stood there, she should not feel like a small object placed on a desk. She should feel more like a girl who had truly stepped into the real world. To me, this kind of scale carries a very special feeling. It is not just about making the size larger. It turns Tifa from a character into something much closer to companionship.

That is why I created the life size version.

Silicone and TPE Material Choices

For this life size Tifa Figure, I used both silicone and TPE materials, so people who love Tifa can choose according to their own needs.

Silicone is more suitable for people who care about detail and texture. Its surface is more stable, and the facial contour, body lines, and overall shape can appear more refined. For long-term display, silicone can better maintain a premium feeling, and it is also more suitable for showing a character like Tifa, whose presence depends on delicate expression and detail.

TPE is softer, with a touch that feels closer to real skin, and its elasticity is more obvious. If you care more about softness and body touch, TPE offers another kind of experience. Compared with silicone, it is less focused on refined display and more focused on the soft feeling of real contact.

I do not want to decide for everyone which material is best. Everyone has a different Tifa in their heart. Some people care more about her refined look, while others care more about softness. Since I made her for people who truly love Tifa, I wanted everyone to choose according to the feeling in their own heart.

Height Options Are Not Just Numbers

The life size Tifa Figure also offers several height options: 155 cm, 158 cm, 160 cm, 163 cm, 165 cm, 166 cm, 168 cm, and 170 cm.

These are not just simple numbers.

To me, height changes the feeling a character gives. A height between 155 cm and 160 cm makes Tifa feel more approachable, like a girl who is easier to get close to. Between 163 cm and 166 cm, the overall proportion feels more natural and closer to the height many people imagine for a real woman. At 168 cm or 170 cm, Tifa looks taller and has a stronger presence when standing in a room.

I provide these height options not to make the specifications look richer, but to allow every person who loves Tifa to choose the version that feels most suitable in their own heart.

I know that people who truly love a character do not all imagine her in exactly the same way. Some people like her to feel softer and closer to everyday life, while others want her to look taller and more mature. Different heights create different forms of companionship.

I made these choices because I wanted everyone who loves Tifa like I do to own the girl they truly like.

The Craft I Insisted on for the Life Size Tifa Figure

For all life size models, I added an internal skeleton.

I did not want Tifa to stand there stiffly. She should be able to make different poses. Sitting, adjusting her posture, and appearing in the way the collector likes should all feel possible. The skeleton makes her more than a fixed display piece. It makes her closer to a real companion.

Implanted Hair for a More Natural Tifa

For the hair, I chose implanted hair craftsmanship.

Hair is very important for Tifa. Her hairstyle is part of her character identity. If the hair looks too fake, the realism of the whole figure becomes weaker. Implanted hair makes the hair look more natural and closer to the look of real human hair. Whether viewed up close or arranged in daily care, it gives the figure more life than ordinary wig-style handling.

Jelly Chest Craftsmanship

For the chest, I used jelly chest craftsmanship.

Tifa is a character with clear feminine charm, but I never wanted that charm to feel stiff or exaggerated in a cheap way. The meaning of the jelly chest is not only about making the body more striking. It is about making the chest softer, more natural, and closer to the feeling of a real body. This craft gives the character a more realistic sense both visually and through touch, instead of making her feel like a cold hard model.

From material and height to the skeleton, implanted hair, and jelly chest, my first idea when making the life size Tifa was always centered around one thing: she had to feel as real as possible.

Not merely like Tifa, but closer to Tifa.

Why I Later Created the 68cm Tifa Figure

After creating the life size Tifa, I did not stop.

Because after truly having her, I discovered another feeling. The life size version is very real and has a powerful presence, but she is more suitable for a fixed space. Whenever I traveled for work and stayed alone in a hotel, I would always think of the Tifa at home.

That feeling was strange.

She was clearly a character, yet she felt like an important part of my life. When I sat quietly in an unfamiliar city and an unfamiliar room, I would still think about her. Because of that, I began to wonder whether I could create another Tifa that was more suitable for companionship.

Not to replace the life size version, but to let Tifa appear in more parts of daily life.

That is why I created the 68cm Tifa Figure.

This 68cm Tifa Figure gives me a completely different feeling from the life size version. She does not have the same strong spatial presence, but she has a more intimate sense of companionship. Her smaller size makes her easier to move. Even when I travel, I can place her safely in my suitcase and let her accompany me to different places.

This was the real reason I created the 68cm Tifa.

I was not simply making a smaller version. I needed this Tifa myself. A Tifa who could leave home with me, enter unfamiliar hotel rooms with me, and make quiet nights feel less lonely.

Why the 68cm Tifa Figure Is Not Just a Smaller Version

The 68cm Tifa is not simply a reduced version of the life size model.

When creating this figure, I still carefully restored her outfit and overall image according to the look from the game. Her clothing, body lines, hairstyle, and atmosphere all had to stay as close to Tifa as possible.

What I wanted was never just the word “similar.”

If similarity was enough, the standard would be too easy. What I truly pursued was a sense of reality. She must be recognizable as Tifa at first glance, and after looking at her for a long time, she still must not feel separated from the character.

Full Silicone Body and Internal Skeleton

This 68cm Tifa also uses a full silicone body, an internal metal skeleton, jelly chest craftsmanship, and implanted hair.

The full silicone body makes her body feel softer visually and closer to a real body than ordinary hard materials. The internal metal skeleton allows her to make different poses instead of being fixed in one position. Implanted hair makes her hair more natural and gives the entire character a stronger sense of realism. The jelly chest craftsmanship continues my consistent pursuit of softness and natural texture for Tifa.

A More Personal Form of Companionship

The meaning of 68 cm is not only that she is smaller.

What she gives me most is a kind of thoughtful companionship.

The life size Tifa feels like a girl truly standing in the room, while the 68cm Tifa feels like a Tifa who can be kept closer and even taken along. She is more flexible, more suitable for close appreciation, and more suitable for fans who hope Tifa can accompany their daily life.

To me, this 68cm Tifa is a very personal version.

Because she came from my own loneliness, and also from my need for Tifa’s companionship.

Why I Recently Created the 80cm Tifa Figure

Recently, I created a new 80cm Tifa Figure.

This version is special to me.

The life size version solves the feeling of real existence. The 68cm version solves the need for companionship and portability. For the 80cm version, I wanted to solve another problem: Tifa’s different expressions and different sides of her personality.

For the material, I still chose a full silicone body, an internal metal skeleton, jelly chest craftsmanship, and implanted hair.

These crafts are not just specifications placed together. They are the foundation I always believe cannot be abandoned when making Tifa. The full silicone body gives the figure better texture. The metal skeleton gives her more posing possibilities. Jelly chest craftsmanship makes the body feel more natural. Implanted hair keeps her from losing realism when viewed up close.

However, the biggest difference between the 80cm Tifa and the previous two versions lies in the head design.

This time, I designed two head options for her.

I increasingly felt that Tifa should not be fixed into only one expression. Her charm is not single. She can be mature, and she can also be warm. A quiet side belongs to her, but a brighter side also exists. One head often expresses only one side of her. I wanted to give people who love Tifa more choices, so they can decide based on the Tifa in their own heart.

Head Option A: Fresh, Elegant, and Slightly Mysterious

For Head Option A, I wanted to give Tifa a fresh and elegant atmosphere.

Her facial lines are clean and sharp, without an overly exaggerated expression. Her slightly mysterious look makes her appear calmer and more mature. She does not seem to be trying hard to show herself. Simply standing there quietly, she already carries her own presence.

This version reminds me of a more mature Tifa.

She has gone through the story and carries emotion inside, but she does not speak it out easily. Her beauty is not directly sweet. It is something that lasts. The longer you look, the more you can feel the restraint in her facial lines, as well as a quiet yet powerful atmosphere, almost like a model.

I designed Head Option A for fans who love the calm side of Tifa.

If the Tifa in your heart is not overly lively, but quieter, more mature, and slightly distant, then Option A will feel closer to that image. She does not catch you immediately with a smile. Instead, after looking at her for a while, you feel that she truly carries the taste of Tifa.

Head Option B: Bright, Warm, and Full of Life

Head Option B presents a completely different feeling.

She has brighter eyes and a more playful smile. This head creates a warmer and more energetic image. She looks more approachable, like Tifa stepping out of the heavier parts of the story and showing a relaxed expression in real life.

I did not design Option B to be simply cute.

Tifa is not an ordinary cute character. Her smile must have balance. It cannot be too exaggerated, and it cannot make her lose her original maturity. The focus of this head is to find the balance between warmth and character identity.

She should feel lively, but not childish.

She should feel friendly, but not empty.

Most importantly, she should feel full of life while still keeping Tifa’s original atmosphere.

Head Option B is made for fans who love the warmer side of Tifa. If the Tifa in your heart feels like a girl who can bring ease, companionship, and emotional warmth, then this head will be closer to your imagination.

Three Tifa Figures, Three Forms of Companionship

After making these versions, I became more certain that the 80cm, 68cm, and life size Tifa figures are not just different sizes.

The life size Tifa is my first dream of bringing her into real life. She has a proportion close to a real human being, with silicone and TPE materials available, as well as multiple height options. She is made for fans who want Tifa to truly stand inside their living space.

The 68cm Tifa came from the loneliness I felt during frequent business trips. She is smaller and easier to bring along. This version is not made to replace the life size version, but to let Tifa accompany more daily scenes.

The 80cm Tifa is my newest attempt to express her character atmosphere. She keeps the full silicone body, internal skeleton, jelly chest, and implanted hair, while the two head options allow Tifa to have richer expressions and more layers of personality.

All three are Tifa.

But they are not the same answer.

I know that every person who truly loves Tifa has their own version of her in their heart. Some people want the most realistic companionship. Others want a thoughtful Tifa who can be kept closer and carried along. Another kind of fan may want a more refined collectible version with greater expression changes.

I created these versions so that people who love Tifa like I do do not have to accept only one choice.

You can choose the version that feels closest to the Tifa in your heart.

What I Have Always Wanted Is the Most Real and Emotional Tifa

From the beginning until now, my idea in creating Tifa has never really changed.

I have always wanted to create the most real and emotional Tifa possible. This kind of reality is not only about body proportion, and it is not only about material. More importantly, she must carry the feeling of Tifa.

She cannot be only a beautiful model.

She must have emotion, warmth, and companionship. When people who truly love Tifa see her, she should remind them of the first time they met her in Final Fantasy. She should make people feel that this is not a product casually dressed in Tifa’s appearance, but a girl who has been carefully understood and carefully created.

This is why I have always insisted on adjusting the material, skeleton, implanted hair, jelly chest, and different sizes again and again.

Because I love her, I do not want to treat her casually.

Because she is important in my heart, I hope every person who loves Tifa like I do can also find their own Tifa Figure.

I did not create these Tifa Figures to turn Tifa into a single ordinary product.

I simply wanted to make the girl in my heart little by little, and I also hope every fan who loves Tifa like I do can own a version of her that truly belongs to them.

Not a Tifa who only stays on the screen.
