Makima Figure: From Fan Idea to Silicone Collectible

From Fan Submissions to Production: Why I Wanted to Create a Makima Figure That Feels Closer to Real Life

Chainsaw Man is a highly popular anime that many fans still remember long after watching it. When I decided to create a Chainsaw Man figure series, one question stayed in my mind: could we truly recreate these characters instead of simply producing ordinary decorations with similar hairstyles and clothing?

As a passionate anime fan myself, I understand that collectors want more than a figure that merely resembles a character. People truly hope to see a character step out of the anime while still retaining her original personality, expression, and presence.

I also hoped that the Chainsaw Man figures I created would earn recognition from fans who genuinely love this series.

The Original Idea Came From Fan Submissions

Before we officially began this project, I had already watched Chainsaw Man.

Its dark and violent aesthetic, absurd black humour, and complicated, unpredictable relationships left a deep impression on me. The story does not develop like a traditional action anime. Many events feel sudden, chaotic, and even cruel. However, that uncertainty kept me fascinated for a long time.

At the time, the idea of creating a Chainsaw Man figure series briefly crossed my mind. However, I still had many other products and projects to manage, so I put the idea aside and never truly began working on it.

That changed when I gradually started receiving submissions from fans.

They told me that they really wanted to own figures of Power, Reze, or Makima. Some people also asked whether LORIBEAR planned to create a more realistic and poseable Chainsaw Man figure collection.

Those submissions reminded me of the plan I had previously put aside.

I began having serious discussions with my team. How should we create this series? The market already offered many conventional scale figures. If we followed the same production method, would the final products truly satisfy the fans?

We Did Not Want to Create Ordinary Figures That Could Only Be Viewed From a Distance

At the beginning of the project, we followed a production process similar to the one we used for our previous products.

The team discussed character proportions, created the first drawings, studied facial modelling, and searched for experienced craftsmen to handle the sculpting. However, as our discussions became more detailed, I gradually realised that we could not create the Chainsaw Man series in exactly the same way as an ordinary figure.

Many fans of the series have probably imagined what it would be like to live with Power, Reze, or Makima.

That imagination does not necessarily involve a complicated story. It might simply mean letting the character sit in the room and recreate a pose from the anime. A collector might change her clothes, adjust her posture, or take personal photographs. Someone might also return home after a long day and see a favourite character waiting in the room.

If a product can only remain in one fixed pose inside a display cabinet, the character will struggle to become part of the collector’s everyday life.

For this reason, we never planned to make the series as a group of ordinary display pieces.

I wanted these characters to feel closer to real life. They should not become decorative objects that people can only look at. Through different clothing, poses, and display settings, they should take part in the collector’s own life.

That was why the Hentai figurine direction became one of the first ideas I considered.

A Hentai Figurine Should Not Focus Only on Exaggerated Body Shapes

When people hear the term Hentai figurine, the first things that come to mind may be revealing clothing or exaggerated body designs.

However, in my opinion, an adult anime figure that is genuinely worth collecting cannot rely only on these surface-level elements. This point becomes especially important when creating characters such as Makima, Power, and Reze. A sexy appearance represents only one part of the design. Preserving each character’s identity and personality matters even more.

Power’s poses can look more direct and express her naturally bold behaviour.

Reze may appear gentle and approachable, but her expression should still retain the sense of danger associated with her character.

Makima presents a greater challenge. She does not need exaggerated movements, and she rarely reveals her emotions through obvious facial expressions. Her attraction often comes from her calm eyes, neat clothing, and the sense of distance she creates simply by standing there.

Combining red hair, a white shirt, and a black tie cannot create a Makima figure that immediately captures the character’s presence.

Therefore, the Hentai figurine we wanted to create needed more than realistic body details. The face, clothing, hair, and poses also needed to maintain a clear connection to the original character.

We Spent a Long Time Moving From the First Drawings to the Final Design

The project took much longer than we originally expected, from the first discussions to the beginning of physical production.

Our team spent nearly one month discussing and revising the initial drawings. We needed to confirm the overall body proportions, facial structure, shoulder width, waistline, leg length, and complete appearance after adding the character’s clothing.

A drawing cannot enter production simply because it looks attractive.

Because the final product required a silicone body and an internal skeleton, we also had to consider whether the external body shape would remain natural after someone changed the pose. The shoulders, elbows, waist, and knees all needed enough space for the internal structure.

We continued revising the drawings while discussing possible production problems with the factory. Some designs looked good on paper but could not provide the softness we wanted during actual production. Other designs restricted the movement of the body.

Each revision therefore aimed not only to improve the appearance but also to ensure that collectors could genuinely pose, display, and use the completed figure as planned.

The Makima Figure Required the Longest Discussions in the Entire Series

Among the Power, Reze, and Makima products, the Makima figure required the longest period of discussion.

While creating Makima, my team and I argued many times about particular details. Everyone had a different understanding of her facial expression, body proportions, hairstyle, and overall presence.

Some team members believed that the adult design should make the body curves more prominent.

However, I always believed that the Makima figure could not focus only on her body. Her calm expression, distinctive eyes, long red hair, and constant sense of control make Makima memorable throughout the story.

If we exaggerated her body but lost her facial expression and personality, the product would become little more than a female figure wearing similar clothes. Fans who genuinely love Makima would find it difficult to connect with such a design.

After many discussions, the team finally accepted my suggestion.

First, we established the character’s overall presence. We then adjusted the body proportions and adult details. The finished Makima figure should make people recognise Makima before they notice the realistic body material and tactile experience.

We Gave the Confirmed Drawings to Professional Sculptors

After we finalised the drawings, we gave the reference materials to professional sculptors.

The facial sculpt became one of the most important parts of the production process. Makima’s expression could not look too exaggerated. Even slight changes to the corners of her mouth or the direction of her eyes needed restraint. An overly lively face could remove her original sense of distance. On the other hand, an overly stiff expression could make her look like an ordinary model without emotion.

We therefore needed to find a balance between character accuracy and realism.

In addition to the face, we repeatedly adjusted the proportions between the head and body. Since this is not a small fixed-pose figure, every detail becomes more noticeable at a larger size.

A slightly oversized head would make the body look unbalanced. Incorrect shoulder and waist proportions would also affect the complete appearance after we added the white shirt.

We needed to confirm these details throughout the sculpting stage instead of leaving them until the entire product was complete.

Why We Continued to Use a Full Silicone Body

For the body, we continued to use full silicone.

We did not choose silicone only because it feels softer. Compared with an ordinary hard figure, silicone allows the body surface to maintain more continuous contours. When collectors reposition the arms, waist, or legs, they will not see obvious plastic joints on the outside.

This feature played an especially important role in the Chainsaw Man series we wanted to create.

Collectors should have the option to display the characters standing, let them sit down, turn their bodies, or create poses that feel closer to everyday life. A silicone body reduces the visible separation around the joints that often appears on traditional articulated figures. It also creates more natural body lines after someone adds clothing.

At the same time, full silicone gives a Hentai figurine a tactile experience that feels closer to a real body instead of combining a realistic appearance with a hard plastic texture.

The Internal Metal Skeleton Means the Character Is No Longer Limited to One Fixed Pose

To make the body poseable, we added an internal metal skeleton.

The silicone body hides the skeleton, so collectors will not see obvious mechanical joints on the outside. They can adjust the arms, legs, waist, and overall posture according to their preferred display setting.

I believe poseability represents one of the most important differences between this series and an ordinary figure.

A fixed-pose figure may look beautiful when someone first displays it. However, after it remains in the same place for a long time, the collector has very few ways to change its presentation. An internal skeleton allows the owner to adjust the pose for different settings.

For example, the Makima figure can maintain a formal standing pose, sit on a chair, turn her head slightly, or wear different clothing.

These poses do not need exaggeration. With Makima, a small change in the position of the arms, the angle of the head, or the direction of the body can create an entirely different impression.

This design also means collectors no longer need to limit themselves to looking at the product. They can decide how they want to present the character.

The Jelly Chest Creates a Sexier Appearance and a More Realistic Tactile Experience

For the chest, we used a special jelly chest design.

We selected this structure because we wanted the character to look sexier while also providing a tactile experience that feels closer to a real body. An ordinary silicone body already offers a certain level of softness. However, its rebound and movement in the chest area may still fall short of the effect we wanted to achieve.

The jelly chest produces softer and more natural feedback when touched. It also creates fuller and more realistic body curves when the character wears a white shirt or other clothing. Whether someone displays the figure from a distance or views it closely, this feature gives the character more visual appeal.

For an adult collectible figure, sexiness does not come only from clothing. Body contours and realistic materials also shape the overall attraction. If a product looks appealing but feels hard when touched, the experience immediately loses some of its impact.

Therefore, we added the jelly chest not only to improve realism but also to make the character feel sexier and more appealing in both appearance and touch. This feature plays an important role in the Hentai figurine.

Soft Rubber Hair Recreates Makima’s Distinctive Red Hairstyle

For the hair, we did not use ordinary hard plastic. Instead, we created a new soft rubber hairstyle.

Makima’s long red hair represents one of her most recognisable features. If the colour, length, or overall shape looks inaccurate, fans may struggle to recognise the character even when the face closely resembles the original design.

We selected soft rubber hair to preserve the clear silhouette of the anime hairstyle while reducing the stiff appearance commonly associated with hard plastic hair.

The softer material creates a more natural connection between the hair, shoulders, and back. A minor impact is also less likely to break it. For a large Makima figure that collectors may reposition and dress in different clothes, this material offers greater practical value.

Of course, the colour and shape of the soft rubber hair also required repeated adjustments. We wanted the finished result to recreate Makima’s distinctive red hairstyle rather than simply giving her ordinary long red hair.

The Chainsaw Man Series Has Entered the Formal Production Stage

The LORIBEAR Chainsaw Man series has now entered the formal production stage.

After completing the character designs, confirming the drawings, and finalising the structural plans, we moved the products into production. Our current work focuses mainly on checking sculpting details, producing the silicone bodies, forming the hair, and creating clothing samples.

Although production already continues to move forward, we still monitor every stage. The team repeatedly checks whether the facial sculpt, silicone surface, hairstyle, and skeleton movement match the standards established in the original designs.

For the fans waiting for these products, the final item represents more than another piece of anime merchandise. It is a collectible based on a character they may have wanted for a long time.

For this reason, we will continue checking every detail carefully throughout production. Our goal is to make the final result meet both our original design standards and the expectations of the fans.

Reze and Power Are Expected to Be Completed in Early July

According to the current production schedule, we expect to complete Reze and Power in early July.

Once production finishes, we will conduct the necessary final checks and arrange shipping according to the order sequence. Customers who have already joined the preorder will also receive relevant information when we have new production updates.

I understand that waiting for a preorder is not easy, especially for fans who have followed this project since it first began.

Therefore, we will carefully inspect the finished products instead of relying only on the factory’s estimated completion date. We will begin shipping only after confirming that the actual production results meet our requirements.

We Expect to Complete the Makima Figure in Early August

Because the face, hair, and overall presence of the Makima figure require more adjustments, we expect to complete her slightly later than Reze and Power.

According to the current schedule, our team plans to finish Makima in early August.

Makima has also required the greatest number of discussions and the longest revision period in the entire Chainsaw Man series. I know many people are waiting for her, so we will continue checking whether the later production samples differ from the confirmed design.

I do not want customers to receive an ordinary female figure that simply has red hair and a white shirt.

Our goal is to make people recognise Makima’s identity immediately after they see her complete outfit. At the same time, the full silicone body, internal metal skeleton, jelly chest, and soft rubber hair must all serve their intended purposes.

Thank You to Everyone Who Continues to Support LORIBEAR

The Chainsaw Man series could not have entered production without the fans and friends who continue to support LORIBEAR.

Without the original submissions, this idea might still remain in the back of my mind, with no clear idea of when it would finally begin.

Fans continued telling us which characters they wanted. They also shared their opinions about product size, materials, and design. Those suggestions gradually helped us establish the direction of the series.

We do not want to create a product first and then expect everyone to accept it. In many cases, the original inspiration comes directly from fans, while their suggestions also guide our later adjustments.

I am therefore extremely grateful to everyone who is willing to wait for the preorder, follow the production process, and share feedback with us.

You Can Also Submit Your Favourite Characters to Us

If there are other anime or video game characters you would like us to create, you can continue sending your submissions to LORIBEAR.

We will carefully review every suggestion and discuss it based on the character’s popularity, production difficulty, body structure, clothing design, and actual manufacturing conditions.

Not every character can enter production immediately. However, when enough fans want to see a particular character and the design suits our production direction, we will consider adding her to a future product plan.

For me, creating anime figures is not simply a job. It is a way of using real materials to recreate characters that once existed only inside anime and video game scenes.

That is why I want every product to offer more than a similar appearance. My goal is to help the people who love the character feel that she has truly entered their lives.

We Will Continue Creating More Products That Fans Want

The Chainsaw Man series is only one of the projects we are currently developing.

In the future, we will continue exploring more anime and video game characters. Our team will also keep improving facial sculpting, silicone materials, internal skeletons, hair, clothing, and other production details.

I know that one eye-catching pose cannot complete a truly satisfying Makima figure. From the initial drawings and facial sculpt to the body structure and final clothing, every stage must follow the same understanding of the character.

Similarly, a Hentai figurine that deserves a place in a collection should not attract attention only through revealing designs. Character accuracy, body texture, poseability, and the feeling of companionship remain the elements we genuinely focus on during production.

Once again, thank you for your support and appreciation of LORIBEAR.

We will carefully complete Reze, Power, and Makima while continuing to create more anime character products that fans genuinely want to own.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Makima Figure

Is the Makima figure currently in stock or available for preorder?

The LORIBEAR Makima figure is currently in the preorder and production stage. We have already confirmed the character drawings, overall structure, and main production methods. The product has also entered formal production. Our team continues checking details such as the facial sculpt, silicone body, soft rubber hair, clothing, and internal skeleton.

According to the current production schedule, we expect to complete the Makima figure in early August. Before shipping, we will inspect the finished result. We will then dispatch orders in sequence after confirming that the product meets our requirements.

Why does the Makima figure take longer to produce than Power and Reze?

Makima required the longest period of discussion and adjustment in the entire Chainsaw Man series.

Her character does not rely on exaggerated movement or an obvious facial expression. Her eyes, mouth, head angle, red hair, and overall presence in the complete uniform all need to remain restrained. If one detail appears too lively or exaggerated, the design can easily lose Makima’s original sense of control.

We therefore made more adjustments to her facial sculpt, hairstyle, and body proportions. This additional work explains why we expect to complete her slightly later.

What material is used for the Makima figure?

The Makima figure uses a full silicone body.

Compared with a traditional PVC or resin figure, the silicone body feels softer and avoids obvious plastic joints. After someone changes the pose, the shoulders, arms, waist, and legs can still maintain relatively continuous body contours.

We chose full silicone so that the product could preserve the appearance of an anime character while also providing a more realistic visual and tactile experience.

Can the Makima figure be posed?

Yes. We installed a metal skeleton inside the silicone body, allowing collectors to adjust the arms, legs, waist, and body direction according to the display setting.

For example, Makima can maintain a formal standing pose, sit on a chair, turn her head slightly, or change the position of her hands. However, we do not recommend using excessive force when adjusting the pose. Collectors should not repeatedly push the joints to their maximum limits, as this could place unnecessary pressure on the silicone and internal skeleton.

What is the difference between a jelly chest and an ordinary silicone chest?

An ordinary silicone chest already provides a certain level of softness, but a jelly chest offers softer feedback and a more natural rebound when touched.

After we add the jelly chest, the Makima figure also presents fuller and more natural body contours when wearing a white shirt or other close-fitting clothing. We use this feature not only to strengthen the sexy visual presentation but also to keep the appearance and tactile experience consistent.

Why did you not use ordinary implanted hair?

To recreate the clear and fixed shape of Makima’s hairstyle in the anime, we designed soft rubber hair for this product.

Although implanted hair can create the appearance of real strands, it may cause problems when collectors need to maintain a fixed style, organise the hair over time, and recreate the original anime silhouette. Soft rubber hair can preserve Makima’s distinctive long red hairstyle more consistently while reducing the risk of breakage and the stiffness associated with hard plastic hair.

Is the Makima figure an ordinary anime figure or a Hentai figurine?

It combines the characteristics of an anime character collectible and an adult figure.

In terms of character accuracy, we preserved Makima’s facial presence, red hair, clothing style, and recognisable identity. The full silicone body, jelly chest, internal metal skeleton, and poseable structure also provide a more realistic physical presentation than an ordinary fixed-pose figure.

It is therefore not a Hentai figurine that relies only on a revealing design to attract attention. Instead, it is a collectible that places character accuracy first and then adds adult body materials and a more realistic tactile experience.

How should I care for the Makima figure after receiving it?

You should normally store the product in a dry and shaded place away from direct sunlight. Do not leave it close to radiators, strong lights, or other high-temperature equipment for long periods.

When changing the clothing, avoid allowing dark or easily faded fabrics to remain in direct contact with the silicone body for extended periods. To clean the surface, gently wipe it with a soft damp cloth. Do not use products containing alcohol, bleach, or strongly corrosive cleaning ingredients.

You should also adjust poses slowly. Avoid suddenly pulling the limbs or forcefully twisting the joints.

Will the shipping box reveal what is inside?

No. LORIBEAR ships its products in neutral brown cartons. The outside packaging does not display brand information, specific product names, or product images.

This packaging method reduces the possibility of revealing the parcel’s contents during transportation and allows collectors who value their privacy to receive their orders more comfortably.

Can I submit other anime or video game characters to LORIBEAR?

Yes. If there is an anime or video game character you would like us to create, you can send the character’s name to LORIBEAR.

We will consider fan demand, character design, production difficulty, body structure, clothing, and actual manufacturing requirements. Although not every submission can enter production immediately, fan suggestions remain an important reference when we choose future product directions.
